About Podera Therapy
What is Podera All About?
Roman Laws got his start in mental health by working directly with teens in juvenile corrections. Through hands-on experience and training, he discovered a deep passion for helping people heal and grow through therapy. That early work showed him the power of real connection—meeting people where they are and helping them feel seen, heard, and capable of change.
After earning his master’s in clinical mental health counseling, Roman spent several years gaining experience in the field. He worked with a wide range of clients and learned how to offer support that’s practical, honest, and rooted in real life. Eventually, he founded Podera Therapy to provide evidence-based care for adults navigating challenges like ADHD, anxiety, depression, or feeling stuck. Roman and his team focus on creating a space where clients feel supported and challenged as they work toward lasting change.
Podera is built on the belief that therapy should empower people—not pathologize them. The name itself reflects strength and agency. Clients are seen as capable, not broken. At Podera, therapy is about helping individuals reconnect with their own sense of direction, purpose, and inner strength.
